My passion is keeping it real and supporting you to feel like you again during peri-menopause, menopause and beyond. I am mum of two and life is very hectic so I don’t overcomplicate things.

After over 20 years in the Training & Education Sector allowing me to gain a wealth of teaching, management and leadership experience, I decided to follow my passion for wellbeing and transfer my skills into the health and wellness industry specifically around women’s health and peri-menopause having experienced these symptoms myself.

I first noticed something wasn’t quite right when I was around 39. I had always been quite positive and confident and have always prided myself on being a high performer at work. I started to feel like I was forgetting things, that I wasn’t ‘on it’ anymore and that I wasn’t capable of doing my job. I started to experience anxiousness for the first time, my skin was really bad, I was having difficulty sleeping and finding it much harder in maintaining my weight, which made me self-conscious. I didn’t feel good and I just wasn’t myself but I couldn’t put my finger on the cause. Like many of us I was juggling family life, Covid and the pressures of work, so I put it down to that but gradually these changes chipped away at my self esteem and confidence.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve had so many conversations with women like me who tell a different version of this story. They’re overwhelmed, tired and unable to concentrate at work. What I didn’t realise like many women don’t is that they may be peri-menopausal. You might be like I was and think that’s for older women and not someone in late 30s/early 40s?

You might be peri-menopausal, suspect you are, or at least be curious about what the phrase means and how it relates to your life. ‘Menopause’ is being discussed in more open forums but so many people don’t understand peri menopause. A combination of misinformation means this stage which is actually the most important stage of the process is still a very grey area.

Once I made this realisation I took action. I changed my workouts, my nutrition and lifestyle and I’m also on HRT and I’m feeling like the old me.

This phase in life does not need to be a negative experience…. It can be a chance to reset, refocus and become a better version of YOU!
